Mountain Mission Avalanche Days

We believe mountain safety training should be memorable, practical and fun.

One of our most popular experiences for families, groups and corporate clients is our interactive Mountain Mission Avalanche Day.

Using avalanche transceivers, navigation exercises, route planning and real-world mountain scenarios, participants work together to complete a series of challenges while learning essential mountain safety skills along the way.

Think of it as a mountain adventure with a touch of secret-agent excitement.

Rather than spending the day in a classroom, participants learn through experience, teamwork and problem-solving in the alpine environment itself. It’s an engaging introduction to avalanche awareness and mountain safety that people genuinely enjoy and remember long after the day is over.

MEET LUCA

Head of Mountain Safety & Freeride Specialist

Based in Verbier and available throughout Valais and the wider Alps, Luca is a Swiss Federal Certified Freeride Ski Instructor with a lifelong passion for the mountains.

Originally from Italy, he works with both English and Italian-speaking clients and brings a wealth of experience from years spent exploring alpine terrain and competing in extreme sports.

Luca specialises in freeride skiing, mountain safety, avalanche awareness and helping clients gain confidence beyond the marked pistes. His approach is relaxed, professional and focused on making every day in the mountains both enjoyable and rewarding.

What many clients appreciate most is Luca’s local knowledge. Beyond finding the best snow conditions and quieter routes away from the crowds, he knows exactly where to stop for an exceptional mountain lunch. A day with Luca often combines great skiing, spectacular scenery and discovering some of the finest restaurants and hidden gems on the mountain.

Don’t be surprised if the route just happens to lead to one of his favourite mountain restaurants. After all, the best days in the Alps combine great skiing, good company and a long lunch with an unforgettable view.
